Okay, the healer is done. Let me take the time to explain a little about my inspiration for this piece. Her look is based off Greek Mythology, obviously with a little twist. In particular, I was inspired by Panacea, the daughter of Asclepius and Epione - healing gods. Panacea has four sisters and two brothers, all who have something to do with some sort of healing or medicinal factors.
"Panacea was said to have a poultice or potion with which she healed the sick. This brought about the concept of the panacea in medicine, a substance meant to cure all diseases. The term is also used figuratively as something intended to completely solve a large, multi-faceted problem."
The color was based off a variety of factors:
"A river in Thrace/Moesia was named after the goddess, and is still known as the river Zlatna Panega (from Greek panakeia)."
"Blue is the color of the spirit, devotion and religious study. It enhances contemplation and prayer. On the other hand, blue's devotion can be to any cause or concept it believes in, including devotion to family or work. Blue is the helper, the rescuer, the friend in need."
"Optimistic and positive, gold adds richness and warmth to everything with which it is associated - it illuminates and enhances other things around it."
Her necklace is made out of gold and turquoise.
"Turquoise encourages inner healing through its ability to enhance empathy and caring. It heightens our intuitive ability and opens the door to spiritual growth. It is the color of the evolved soul."
